Instrument Engineer - Norwegia
Instrumentation Engineers create, monitor and troubleshoot complex instrumentation to optimize productivity. Instrument Engineers manage, design and install the machines or control systems used in highly technical fields.
The Oil and Gas industry uses automated processes and hire Instrumentation Engineers to optimize the dependability, safety and productivity of their systems and use instrumentation systems to monitor their facilities. These instruments measure temperature, pressure, radiation, voltage and other variables. Instrument Engineers design these instruments, monitor their performance and troubleshoot existing devices to ensure that effective repairs are made.
Instrument Engineer Technologists also set up and maintain complex computer-controlled equipment driving instrumentation.
Typical work within instrumentation would be: Design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems; Maintenance of instrument systems
-Preparation of documentation for installation
-Define and develop solutions for instrument requirements for mechanical packages
-Multi-discipline collaboration in EIT and to other disciplines within projects
-Develop a strategy for standardization of instruments and instrument materials according to customer requirement
-Preparation of EIT installation specifications according to customer requirements
-Supplier Monitoring and follow-up of third party equipment
-Define and develop technical solutions for measuring pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments
-Define and develop solutions for valves and actuators; Participation, Follow-up, Coordination, and handover.
